Season 13 of RuPaul’s Drag Race is ready to ring in the “Ru-year” at 8 tonight, but ahead of the VH1 premiere, Deadline can reveal this season’s roster of guest judges and from A-list superfans and queens of seasons past.
Cynthia Erivo, Nicole Byer, Loni Love, TS Madison and Jamal Sims are slated to join the RuPaul’s Drag Race judges panel this season alongside mainstays Michelle Visage, Carson Kressley, Ross Mathews and, of course, Mama Ru.
In addition, RuPaul’s Drag Race superfans Anne Hathaway and Scarlett Johansson will surprise queens later this season with interactive video masterclasses while Miss Congeniality winners from past seasons Nina West, Valentina and Heidi N Closet will also make guest appearances.
For the first time, VH1 will simulcast the Season 13 premiere of the Emmy-winning reality competition on The CW, MTV, MTV2, PopTV and Logo. As seen in the 10-minute preview, this season will welcome the queens with a shocking twist: They immediately must go head-to-head on the mainstage to defend their place in the competition with six lip syncs for their lives. The aftershow, RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked, will premiere immediately following the season premiere at 9:30 p.m. on VH1.

Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost have tied the knot.
According to the official Instagram account of the organization Meals on Wheels America, the couple said “I do” over the weekend in an “intimate ceremony.”
The organization, which delivers meals to individuals at home who are unable to purchase or prepare their own meals, posted a cheeky image of the Staten Island Ferry with the words “Jost Married” written in bold letters.
The caption read: “We’re thrilled to break the news that Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost were married over the weekend in an intimate ceremony with their immediate family and loved ones, following COVID-19 safety precautions as directed by the CDC.”
They added, “Their wedding wish is to help make a difference for vulnerable older adults during this difficult time by supporting @mealsonwheelsamerica. Please consider donating to celebrate the happy couple by clicking the link in our bio.”
A “Save the Date” card was also leaked. The humorous card was hand written on an index card and read, “Save the Date! Scarlett + Colin are getting married (we’re trying to save money for the wedding).
The “Saturday Night Live” star and the “Black Widow” actress got engaged in May of 2019 after two years of dating.
Last October, Johansson gushed about Jost’s proposal on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”, “He did [do it in a romantic way], he killed it. It was a very James Bond situation. It was surprising. He’s got a lot behind that [‘Saturday Night Live’] news desk he’s hiding.”“He’s very charming and very thoughtful and romantic,” she added. “I was surprised, even if you imagine what that moment is going to be like, it’s still, it’s a beautiful moment. It was very personal. It was a very special moment and I think more than anything, when someone tells you they want to share the rest of their life with you, it’s a lovely, special thing.”
Jost later confirmed to Andy Cohen that their original wedding plans were postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“This is also not the time to get all your elderly, at-risk relatives together in one big group,” he said.
Johansson was previously married to Ryan Reynolds from 2008 to 2011 and Romain Dauriac from 2014 to 2017, with whom she shares daughter Rose, 6. This is the first marriage for Jost.

Scarlett Johansson will produce and and is set to star in Bride, a “genre-bending” film from Apple and A24. Sebastián Lelio, who has helmed female-fronted films like the Oscar-winning A Fantastic Woman, Disobedience and Gloria, has been tapped to direct the feature, which he’s writing with Lauren Schuker Blum and Rebecca Angelo.
The plot follows a woman created to be an ideal wife — the singular obsession of a brilliant entrepreneur. When she rejects her creator, she’s forced to flee her confined existence, confronting a world that sees her as a monster. It is on the run that she finds her true identity, her surprising power, and the strength to remake herself as her own creation.
Johansson is producing the pic with Jonathan Lia of These Pictures.
The pic marks the latest in the Apple-A24 first-look partnership that includes the Sofia Coppola-Bill Murray reteam On the Rocks, which hit Apple TV on Friday, and The Sky Is Everywhere starring Cherry Jones and Jason Segel.
Johansson stars in the anticipated Black Widow stand-alone from Disney and Marvel. Initially slated for release in May, the film is now on the theatrical docket for May 7, 2021. Johansson and These Pictures are repped by CAA and Morris Yorn.
Lelio is repped by 42 MP and Management 360 and Granderson Des Rochers.

There were inferences galore of Donald Trump as Thanos at Senator Kamala Harris’ fundraiser tonight with some of The Avengers and the Russo brothers, as the 2020 election clearly moves into endgame territory.
However, on the birthday of the VP nominee and amidst ample discussion of the “importance of honor and courage and unity,” one absent Avenger and the former Celebrity Apprentice host were marquee players too on Tuesday.
Sen, Harris made a distinct point of mentioning the recently deceased Chadwick Boseman and how she wanted to “honor his life and the memory of him.” On the flip side, the first woman of color on a national ticket told Captain America himself Chris Evans that “I couldn’t agree with you more about the fish, by the way.” Earlier in the evening, before Harris joined the event, Evans had told donors that “I think the fish rots from the head down” in a swipe at Trump.
Punctuated by a surprise appearance by Robert Downey Jr and the candidate’s husband Doug Emhoff, the blockbuster of a Hollywood and DC crossover saw Sen. Harris chatting virtually with Evans, Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Don Cheadle (War Machine), Paul Rudd (Antman) and Zoe Saldana (Gamnora). With donations as low as $1, the 70-minute grassroots fundraiser was as much an exercise in PR as finance for the Democrats’ ticket
First of all, I’m a huge fan, so I’m like a kid right now being with all of you guys and all together,” California’s junior Senator told Joe Russo. “And Don has been a friend for a long time and Bridgid (his partner) and I just want to thank you guys for what you’re doing to put yourselves out there, to be so engaged and to speak up in this way because you certainly don’t have to,” Harris told the Russos and the assembled Avengers. “And you’re all so talented.”
The self-declared Black Panther fan then addressed the death of Boseman on August 28 from a long battle with cancer.
“You know, actually where I am now, the studio from my D.C. headquarters, if you will, is at Howard University,” Sen. Harris stated. “And that’s – Chadwick and I actually both attended Howard University and I think about him all the time, there are monuments and memorials set up on campus to him and he was a very dear friend,” she added, with obvious sadness in her voice.
“We all know honor and decency matters, and it matters whether you are saving the universe from Thanos or fighting for the soul of our nation,” Sen Harris said at another point. “Joe Biden feels very strongly about this too,” she added of her poll leading running mate, the former VP.
“If the Avengers can assemble from across the galaxy, then the American people can get together from wherever we are, whoever we voted for in the last election, and whatever language our grandmother spoke and come together to get our country on the right track,” Harris noted as the hard-fought election moves into its final two weeks.
“I just wanted to drop in and say happy birthday to my superhero wife,” the clearly pre-recorded video from Emhoff exclaimed. “I wish we could be together watching yet another Avengers movie right now, but this is a next best thing,” the potential First Man (think about it) added.
“One of the last times we saw you all together Thanos tried to snap his fingers and kill half the universe, but thanks to science we solved the problem,” Emhoff went on to say. “But the threat we face now isn’t entirely different. A global pandemic, a climate crisis, and a president who is making it all worse. He is a villain fit for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, except he tweets more, and he’s an active superspreader.”
Of course, by the very nature of the fundraiser and its primary participants, there was some fun and games too.
For one thing, Saldana sang Happy Birthday to Harris when she joined the event about 20-minutes in. “That was the saddest rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’ anybody’s ever sung,” said Rudd with near perfect comic timing.
While Anthony Mackie (Falcon) was unable to get on the Zoom call, Downey did make it and Iron Man helped lead the group and Harris in a movie trivia round, for better or worse.
Yet, with all that, overall, the tone kept coming back to the seriousness of this election for America, democracy and the world.
When Johansson asked her what kind of superpower she would like to have, Harris said that it was “the ability to see a world and imagine a world where we have peace and we have equity, and where we cherish this God-given planet and where we value education of our children and then imagine that and then work to get that. I think that is an incredible quality that is actually a super power when people have it.”

Joe and Anthony Russo will reunite with Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson and Mark Ruffalo not for a new Avengers film, but for a fundraiser in support of presidential candidate Joe Biden.
On Tuesday the Avengers team will reunite for the Biden campaign’s “Voters Assemble” event. The virtual fundraiser, which will also feature Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd and Zoe Saldana, boasts a trivia game and a Q&A with the Avengers cast.
“Voters Assemble” is another addition to the number of Biden campaign events heavily featuring Hollywood talent. The Biden campaign also held the South Asian Block Party, which touted Mindy Kaling, Kumail Nanjiani and Lilly Singh among headliners.
Fellow Avengers cast member Samuel L. Jackson even teamed with the Biden campaign for a video focused on mobilizing Black voters for the 2020 election.

Disney has postponed the release of fall blockbusters such as Marvel’s “Black Widow,” Steven Spielberg’s “West Side Story” and Kenneth Branagh’s “Death on the Nile” by several months. The results are bad news for the exhibition industry, which is facing fierce headwinds after closing for months due to coronavirus.
The studio has kept the late November release date of Pixar’s “Soul,” surprising some in the industry who had expected the animated family film to either move to a later perch or get released on Disney Plus. The moves set off a cascade of distribution shifts that will upend the theatrical landscape for months. Other Marvel releases, such as “Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” and “Eternals” will all debut deeper into 2021. Disney’s release date shifts all but guarantee that box office revenues this year will reach a nadir — analysts have already projected that domestic grosses would decline between 70% to 80% due to the pandemic.
“Black Widow,” starring Scarlett Johansson, was set to debut on Nov. 6, a date that started to look increasingly unlikely as movie theaters on the coasts remained closed. Variety previously reported that the studio was eyeing a new time to unveil the film on the big screen after the disappointing performance of Christopher Nolan’s “Tenet” in the U.S. and the delay of “Wonder Woman 1984.” “Black Widow” will now open on May 7, 2021.
“Death on the Nile” — a follow-up to 2017’s box office hit “Murder on the Orient Express” — will bow on Dec. 18, 2020, vacating its original Oct. 23 premiere. “Death on the Nile,” a murder mystery based on Agatha Christie’s novel, appeals to an older moviegoers, a demographic that might be hesitant to return to indoor spaces during the pandemic.
“West Side Story,” which marks Spielberg’s first foray into musicals, was expected to be a key Academy Awards contender. An awards career may still be in its future, but not at this year’s Oscars. “West Side Story” will launch a year later than expected, on Dec. 10, 2021 instead of Dec. 18, 2020.
Due to the interconnected nature of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, “Black Widow’s” move shifted back other installments in the superhero franchise. “Eternals,” a comic book adventure about a super-powered alien race, will debut on Nov. 5, 2021. It was previously dated for Feb. 12, 2021. Chloé Zhao directed the film, which stars Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Gemma Chan and Kumail Nanjiani.
Nanjiani endorsed the move on Twitter, saying “Marvel made the right and responsible decision.”“Nothing is more important than health & lives,” he wrote. “I can’t tell ppl to go to a movie theater until I feel safe going to one.”
And “Shang Chi,” Marvel’s first film with an Asian lead, has moved from May 7, 2021 to July 9, 2021. Destin Daniel Cretton will direct a cast that includes Simu Liu as the titular martial arts hero.
Meanwhile, “Deep Water,” Adrian Lyne’s thriller with Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas, will no longer open on Nov. 13, 2020. It will instead debut on Aug. 13, 2021.
Two films will actually bow earlier in the schedule. “The Empty Man,” a horror film with James Badge Dale, will be released on Oct. 23, 2020 instead of on Dec. 4, 2020. “The King’s Man,” previously dated on Feb. 26, 2021, will move ahead two weeks to Feb. 12. However, the latest entry in the spy franchise was initially intended to launch this month.
A number of movies have been postponed following the release of “Tenet,” including Universal’s horror thriller “Candyman” into 2021 and STX’s disaster film “Greenland” with Gerard Butler. Part of the reason that studios are reluctant to release major films is because there’s no sense of when New York and Los Angeles, the two biggest moviegoing markets in the U.S., will be able to open theaters. Cinemas in other parts of the country that have been able to resume operation haven’t seen huge business.
Nearly 70% of movie theaters in North America resumed operations in recent weeks, with many timing their reopenings to the release of “Tenet.” Now, exhibitors face the potential of months without new content to offer audiences.

The Chadwick Boseman tributes keep rolling, and on Sunday night following a commercial-free airing of Marvel’s “Black Panther,” ABC News aired a tribute special in which his other Avengers, including Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Don Cheadle, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner and more, paid their respects to the late star.
Boseman died on Friday after a years-long fight with colon cancer, during which time he became one of Hollywood’s biggest stars with performances that included four Marvel films and the Spike Lee movie “Da 5 Bloods.”
“‘Black Panther’ is hands down the crowning achievement of the Marvel Universe,” Downey told ABC’ News. “It was the one that people got to vote with their ticket sales and say we require this overdue diversity.”
“I didn’t have enough time with Chadwick,” Cheadle said. “It’s a statement I know everyone is making, but everyone can make because he was here far too short a time.”
“Chadwick was a deeply kind and gentle person and very present and thoughtful, and those qualities are so present in his work,” Johansson said.
Boseman’s work was recognized by his past co-stars in Marvel films as well as those who would’ve soon shared the screen with him in Marvel’s Phase 4 of movies, including “Shang-Chi” star Simu Liu and “Eternals” star Angelina Jolie each giving statements.
“I know that I ride the coattails of his success that I stand on his great shoulders,” Liu said in the special.
“He gave all of us and all of our children a great example of a humble leader,” Jolie added.
Boseman was also well known for taking the parts of many Black historical figures, including Thurgood Marshall, Jackie Robinson and James Brown, and non-Avengers Oprah Winfrey and Whoopi Goldberg explained why those performances did just as much to help make him heroic in the eyes of so many.
“The way he handled his life and handling cancer with such grace and humility lets us know that he truly was a superhero,” Winfrey said.
“This loss is felt around the world, people in every country. He was pretty amazing. He is Wakanda forever,” Goldberg added.
