More than two dozen big names — many from beyond the country music realm — are now set to appear on CMT’s next big TV special.
The network has shared the final lineup for “CMT Celebrates Our Heroes: An Artists of the Year Special,” airing June 3. Among the new additions are film stars Scarlett Johansson, Sean Penn, Gary Sinise and Olivia Munn.
They’re joined by Blake Shelton, Jake Owen, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, Lee Brice, Reba McEntire and Zac Brown, plus on-air personalities Bobby Bones and Cody Alan.
“Heroes” is a retooled version of CMT’s annual “Artists of the Year” special, now a salute to health care workers and others on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. It will highlight heroes in health care, education, business, community leaders, the food industry, infrastructure, first responders and the U.S. military.
Previously announced performers include Brandi Carlile, Brothers Osborne, Darius Rucker, Florida Georgia Line, Kane Brown, Kelsea Ballerini, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Sam Hunt, Tim McGraw and Thomas Rhett, as well as “cameos” from Carrie Underwood, Kristen Bell and Lauren Daigle.
“CMT Celebrates Our Heroes: An Artists of the Year Special” premieres at 7 p.m. CT Wednesday, June 3, on CMT, and it will be simultaneously broadcast on Paramount Network, Pop TV and TV Land.

Black Widow will be another chance to see Scarlett Johansson in action as the ultimate super-spy, and fans are surely wondering if the events of the movie will have wider repercussions for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
But the Natasha Romanoff actress has said the film actually has a deeper meaning, one that she thinks the series couldn’t have attempted in its earlier days.
“It’s a film very much about self-forgiveness and accepting decisions that were made for you,” she told Parade. “It’s much deeper than anything we could have done earlier.”
The movie, set before the events of Avengers: Endgame, sees Natasha team up with her former teammates, played by Florence Pugh, David Harbour and the always iconic Rachel Weisz.
Speaking about the dynamic between the characters, Scar-Jo said: “They’re not family, because [Natasha] has no family, but they’re assigned familial roles.”
This is the first major franchise role for Florence Pugh, and she recently admitted that she was nervous because Marvel movies are “so big and daunting”.
Black Widow was meant to be out already, but has been pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic, which has had a domino effect on the rest of Marvel’s upcoming releases, as they’ve all been pushed back too.
